BJP will make Karnataka 'Number 1' state in India: PM Modi

MANGALURU: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a rally in Mulki, expressed the Bharatiya Janata Party's resolve to make Karnataka the number one state in every field of development. He accused the Congress of wanting to make the state an ATM for the royal family (Shahi Parivar) in Delhi.

"We want to make Karnataka No. 1 in every field of development. The Congress party, on the other hand, wants the state to be the number one ATM for the 'Shahi Parivar' in Delhi, taking an 85% commission in every project," he said.

"BJP is committed to making Karnataka the top state in every field. We want the state to be number 1 in modern infrastructure, manufacturing, and all fields. This is our roadmap for the future," he said.

"In contrast, the Congress party is seeking votes because one of its leaders is retiring and is trying to undo the pro-people programs, initiatives, and decisions made by the BJP government for the welfare of the people," he added.

Modi said that during his election campaign in the last 3-4 days, he has seen people’s support in Karnataka and heard the slogan- ‘E Bariya nirdhara- Bahumatada BJP sarakara.’ (The decision this time is to bring the BJP government with complete majority).

Without mentioning the Congress manifesto or the proposed ban on Bajrang Dal, Narendra Modi started and ended his speech with ‘Jai Bajrangbali,’ along with ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai.’

Modi was delighted when the audience declared that they didn't require a translator for his Hindi speech. "Your love and blessings mean a lot to us. You are our remote controls, and I will heed your direction," Modi said before continuing his speech in Hindi.

Modi also warned the people of Karnataka about the Congress party's appeasement politics and using the divide-and-rule principle. He urged the first-time voters in the state to think about their future and the future of Karnataka when casting their votes.

"I want to tell them an important thing to the youth (Bete betiya) who are going to vote for the first time. If you aspire to build a successful career and seek opportunities, then Congress is not the solution. He added that if there is instability in the state, their future is also uncertain. Calling Congress an adversary of peace and development, he stated that investors flee when Congress is in power."

The Prime Minister accused the Congress party of being corrupt, stating, "Congress is the enemy of peace and development. When Congress is in power, investors run away. Congress tries to protect those arrested in terror cases. If they are protected, will there be peace?"

Modi also repeatedly referred to Congress as the "Reverse Gear Congress" for withdrawing cases and protecting those involved in terror activities.

Modi concluded his speech by outlining the various schemes and programs initiated by the BJP for the welfare of women, fishermen, youth, and the poor.
