Defeat KTR in Sircilla, Padmashali folks urged

KARIMNAGAR: At the first-anniversary celebration of the Telangana Chenetha Ikya Vedika (TCIV) held in Kondagattu, Jagtial district, Rapolu Veera Mohan, the state president of TCIV, urged the Padmashali community to unite and vote against IT minister K.T. Rama Rao in the upcoming Assembly elections in Sircilla, a constituency with a significant Padmashali population.

Expressing disappointment, Mohan highlighted that the Padmashali leaders had hoped for at least five Assembly seats to be allocated for their community, but the BRS leadership did not grant a single seat, even in constituencies with a substantial Padmashali presence, leaving them disillusioned.

Mohan said, “Rama Rao, who has secured four consecutive victories in Sircilla, had relied on the Padmashali vote bank to become a minister. However, the call now is for all members of the Padmashali community to vote against Rama Rao in the upcoming elections as a lesson for what is perceived as discrimination against their community.”

Mohan emphasised that in any Assembly elections where Padmashali community leaders run, regardless of their political affiliations, the Padmashali people should support and work diligently for their victory, enabling them to represent the community and address its concerns in the assembly.

Furthermore, Mohan pointed out that the BC Bandhu programme has not been effectively implemented for the Padmashali community by the BRS government. He stated that various initiatives would be launched to exert pressure on the state government to ensure the implementation of the BC Bandhu initiative for the welfare of Padmashali residents.
