Congress, JD(S) have formed a secret alliance: B Sriramulu

Speaking to reporters, he maintained that the JD(S) was backing the Congress, wherever it stood a chance to win, and vice versa.

Mysuru: Health and Family Welfare Minister B. Sriramulu, claimed here on Saturday that the Congress and JD(S) had entered into a secret alliance for the December 5 bypolls and were planning to once again form a coalition government in the state based on their outcome.

Speaking to reporters, he maintained that the JD(S) was backing the Congress, wherever it stood a chance to win, and vice versa.

“They plan to come together for a Congress– JD(S) coalition government once again after the byelections. But it is not possible for them to unite as they did not work together even when they were in an alliance. Now they are merely day- dreaming as we will win all 15 seats,” he asserted. On KPCC president, Dinesh Gundurao’s allegation that the BJP was planning a second round of its Operation Lotus, he said, “We have not been involved in any Operation Lotus and we don't need to resort to any such thing as many Congress and JD (S) leaders are waiting to join our party.”

As for the internal survey of the Congress, which has predicted a big win for it in the bypolls, he said, “Politics is uncertain. But we will win all 15 seats , including Hunsur.”

Asked about former Chief Minister, H.D. Kumaraswamy's comments on his saffron dress and beard, he said they were an insult to those who wore saffron like the Suttur and Pejawar seers.

“Mr Kumaraswamy remembers people only when the elections arrive. When he was in power, he did no work, but only rested in the Taj hotel,” he charged.
