Chennai: Chennai city central crime branch have slapped a fresh case against Vendhar movies S. Madhan for cheating a distributor from failing to give no objection certificate (NoC) to release the Tamil movie ‘Mottai Siva Ketta Siva’ starring Lawrence.
Sivabalan OF Sivabalan pictures in his complaint claimed that he had paid an advance amount Rs 6 crore to Madhan for the distribution of the movie ‘Mottai Siva Ketta Siva’. As per the deal, Sivabalan had struck a deal with Madhan promising to pay '17 crore to get distribution rights for the movie.
In spite of repeated requests, the NoC was not issued. After detailed inquiry, Madhan, who is now in Puzhal prison, also confessed to have cheated Sivabalan. Police personnel on Friday arrested Madhan who is already in prison in connection with a medical college seat scam.
