Opposition councillors of DMK stage walkout

It is a pet project of DMK leader M.K. Stalin the mayor is biased and the voice of opposition is suppressed.

Chennai: The opposition councillors of DMK and the Congress staged a walkout in the corporation council on Saturday complaining that the mayor said S. Duraisamy denied the opposition councilors to put forth their views.

DMK floor leader Subash Chandra Bose told reporters that the metro rail work in Chennai started during the previous DMK regime but the AIADMK led council is projecting as if the project was brought by the ruling party.

It is a pet project of DMK leader M.K. Stalin the mayor is biased and the voice of opposition is suppressed and we walked about protesting against the mayor, he added.

Congress councilor Thamizh Selvan also walked out after his plea to the mayor insisting him to refer that the metro rail project was first funded during the previous Congress led UPA government.
