Ice-cream parlour case hearing put off to September 24

The district court was not considering the case as it was under the consideration of HC.

KOZHIKODE: The Kozhikode Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Saturday postponed the ice-cream parlour case to September 24. The SC dismissed a plea by former chief minister V.S. Achuthanandan seeking a CBI probe against IUML leader P.K. Kunhalikutty, on the revelations made by his co-brother.

The district court was not considering the case as it was under the consideration of HC. In SC, the state government’s advocate general said the case had already seen five rounds of litigation since 1997. Achuthanandan had alleged that Kunhalikkutty and others hatched a conspiracy and influenced the witnesses, created false evidence and forged documents.
