Council chairman K Swamy Goud helps mishap victims

All passengers escaped with minor bruises and were discharged after first aid.

Hyderabad: Eleven passengers travelling in an autorickshaw escaped with minor injuries when the vehicle in which they were travelling overturned in Shamshabad on Sunday. TS Legislative Council Chairman K. Swamy Goud, who was passing by came to their rescue, and shifted them to a hospital in his escort vehicle. Sources said Shaikh Mohammed Pasha, a resident of Bahadurpura, and his wife Fareena Begum, mother, sister-in-law and his kids and his sister-in-law’s kids and the kids of relatives, numbering 11, went to Jahangir Peer Dargah in Kottur in his autorickshaw.

In the afternoon, while they were passing through Pedda Shapur in the Shamshabad area while returning, Pasha suddenly saw a van ahead, and in an attempt to avoid hitting the vehicle took a sudden left turn. As a result the autorickshaw overturned. Meanwhile, K. Swamy Goud who was returning to Hyderabad from Shadnagar after attending an official programme saw the damaged autorickshaw and asked his staff to check out the situation. Later, he told his men to take the injured to a nearby hospital in his escort vehicle. All passengers escaped with minor bruises and were discharged after first aid. Shamshabad police made a GD entry about the incident.
