ALAPPUZHA: SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellapally Natesan has said that the resignation of E.P. Jayarajan was a blunder. He was speaking to reporters after the general council meeting of the SNDP Yogam at Kanichukulangara near here on Friday. Mr Natesan said that the ruling front had crucified Jayarajan on a silly allegation. “The image of LDF ministry has been tarnished by his removal," Vellapally said.
Claiming that the graph of the Opposition has improved due to the resignation of minister, he said; “The posting of a relative in the government service is not a big crime. “If the person was posted without proper qualifications, the problems could have to be solved through the sacking of the same employee. But the resignation of minister was not a solution,” he said. He said that the performance of Ramesh Chennithala as leader of Opposition was improving and added that a strong opposition was a necessity for a stable democracy.
