Governor felicitates eminent personalities from different fields on Republic Day

Hyderabad: Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday felicitated eminent personalities from different fields during the 74th Republic Day celebrations at Raj Bhavan.
Those who were honoured included music composer M.M. Keeravani, fresh from Wednesday’s Padma Sri honour, lyricist Kanukuntla Subhash Chandrabose, Bhagawan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti (NGO) for community leadership, M. Bala Latha, a physically challenged former bureaucrat who now trains youth for competitive exams; para-athlete Kudumula Lokeshwari and table tennis international Sreeja Akula.
Each of them was presented with a certificate of appreciation, a memento and a shawl. Sreeja's parents received the honours on their daughter's behalf.
