No rocket science, will solve storm water drain problem: H Ravindra

What are the major issues in the constituency?
For the past 10 years, the constituency has been represented by Mr Krishnappa, but there has been no development. The people still have to stand in long queues for drinking water and when it rains they need to remove sewage from their homes and clean them.

Storm water drains have been overflowing in the constituency during rains for long. How are you going to find a permanent solution to this?
It doesn't require rocket science. Every problem has a solution. If you have the political will you will be able to find the right solution and address it. If elected, I promise to find a permanent solution to the flooding by desilting all drains, primary, secondary and SWD, building concrete retaining walls next to them , clearing encroachments and preventing dumping of waste into them.

What plans do you have for the constituency ?
Development is our mantra and so we will work for the overall development of the people. Except for the construction of houses for the slumdwellers during the tenure of V Somanna as Housing Minister during the BJP regime, not a single house has been built for the poor. Even title deeds haven't been issued. The problems continue. My aim will be to help people from all walks of life by listening to their complaints.

What is the mood of the residents? Do you think you will win?
I was elected to the BBMP from Vijayanagar ward twice and people know how dedicated I am. When I went to file my nomination, there were nearly 20,000 people around, although no arrangement was made to bring them there. They want a change and they are looking to me as a promising candidate who will work for them.
