AP Professors Deepen Environmental Knowledge at Biodiversity Park

Visakhapatnam: A group of over 40 professors and lecturers from various colleges and universities across Andhra Pradesh visited the Biodiversity Park on Friday as part of a Multidisciplinary Refresher Course in Environmental Studies organised jointly by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Department of Environmental Sciences, Andhra University.

The participants had the opportunity to explore the park's rich biodiversity and gain hands-on experience in environmental studies. Led by esteemed guides, Prof. Udaya Bhaskar Reddy, retired Professor in environmental sciences at Andhra University, and Prof. Krishna, Professor in geography and course convener at Andhra University, the group delved into the park's diverse ecosystems and environmental significance.

The visit to the Biodiversity Park offered the participants a firsthand look at the importance of biodiversity conservation and its role in maintaining ecological balance. This collaborative effort between academia and environmental organisations underscores the commitment to fostering environmental awareness and education among the educators of Andhra Pradesh.
