Andhra Pradesh: Notification issued to allot 16 bars

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh prohibition and excise department has issued a notification to allot 16 bars in the state for two years, i.e., 2023–2025.

In a press release, the department said that these 16 bars belong to those who failed to pay licence fees, non-refundable registration charges, and bid amounts in 2023–24. The interested parties can participate in this auction, and it was made clear that the bars would be allotted through e-auction and online.

For that, the department has started the candidates’ registrations, which will be available online up to October 28. The details of the bars, areas, and offset prices would be available in the gazette notification. The department said that those who registered their names to get bar licences should pay Rs 5 lakh non-refundable fee for 50,000 population areas. Also, Rs 7.5 lakh should be paid for 50,000 to 5 lakh population, and Rs10 lakh should be paid for more than 5 lakh population areas, the department explained.
