Fire engulfs classrooms at Government Junior College in Mancherial district

A minor fire mishap occurred at around 6 pm, near Blast Furnace No. 3 north side slag pit as the road side bush caught fire due to slag splash from pit. Immediately CISF fire wing personnel reached the site and extinguished the fire. (Representational Images: DC)
Adilabad: On Sunday morning, a fire erupted in the classrooms of Government Junior College, Luxettipet, Mancherial district. Fortunately, no students were present due to the ongoing holiday.
Originating in one room, the flames swiftly spread, engulfing surrounding classrooms. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Alerted by passing bystanders, emergency responders quickly dispatched a firefighting unit to the scene. Though the blaze was extinguished without injury, it reportedly caused significant damage, gutting furniture within the affected classrooms.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage
