New Delhi: The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, is creating ripples on social media for firing a government employee, who was watching a movie during office hours while dozens of patients waited outside his office.
Sisodia was conducting a surprise inspection, when he came across the employee watching a movie on his computer at work.
In a video that was shared by the Aam Aadmi Party on their Facebook page, Sisodia can be seen walking up to the man busy watching a movie, blissfully unaware of what is happening around him.
Sisodia then pull him up and asks, “Who is the in-charge here? Do you come here to watch movies.”
He then goes on to fire him, but not before taking his senior to task over his behaviour.
“Have we given you computers to watch movies at work, if you want to do all this, go home and do it,” Sisodia sternly reprimands the man.
The video titled ‘Watch what happens when you work in the Delhi Govt & take your work lightly,’ has received thousands of shares.
