Traffic police gets kits to beat heat
With the soaring mercury, Hyderabad Traffic police is providing summer kits to their traffic cops to ensure that they get proper protection when they are working under the scorching sun.

The summer kit contains insulated water bottles, branded goggles, helmets, buttermilk packets and disposable nose-masks to beat the summer heat along with a bag to carry all these things when they are on duty controlling the traffic in the city.

Along with the summer kits, traffic cops will be regularly supplied with glucose sachets. Senior traffic officials are also planning to provide barley water to the traffic cops, which will help keep them cool as barley water brings down the heat level in the body.

Merajuddin Syed, Assistant sub-inspector of traffic police, Begumpet, said, “We are very glad that we are being provided with all these facilities in summer which will help us cope with the intense heat. We have even been advised to take rest when the traffic is under control’’.
