Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha participated in the Bonalu celebrations held in Brisbane, Australia, on Saturday. The event, organised by Bharat Jagruthi led by Kavitha, was attended by numerous NRIs, particularly those from Telugu states. Kavitha, along with other women, offered Bonam to the Goddess at the temple. She expressed her delight at seeing Telangana state's festivals, cultures, and traditions being celebrated globally, extending her gratitude to NRIs for their support.
Following the celebrations, Kavitha held a meeting with NRIs and encouraged them to invest in Telangana state. She highlighted that Telangana has become an ideal investment destination in India over the past nine years due to the government's pro-industrial and business-friendly policies.
Kavitha emphasised that Telangana has contributed significantly to the IT sector, with one out of every two IT jobs in India being created in the state. Furthermore, she attributed the successful attraction of investments worth $47 billion in the last nine years to Telangana's favourable business policies under the BRS government.
