Cong. leaders slam BRS govt over Pravallika's death by suicide

Incompetent BRS, BJP ruined Telangana, says Rahul

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday slammed the BRS government for the death by suicide of 23-year-old M. Pravallika allegedly due to the cancellation of the TSPSC’s Group-I and Group-IV exams.

Rahul Gandhi posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Very sad news of a student's suicide in Hyderabad yesterday. It's not suicide, it's murder - the dreams of youth, their hopes and aspirations. Telangana youth is completely broken from unemployment today. (sic)”

Dubbing the BRS ‘BJP Rishtedar Samithi’, Rahul alleged that the BRS and BJP together have ruined the state with their incompetence.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed shock and anguish over the suicide and said on X: “Thousands of young aspirants in Telangana are frustrated and enraged due to the rank apathy of the BRS government in conducting examinations. Youngsters of Telangana hold the corrupt, inept, and inefficient BRS Govt accountable and will oust it from power in the state."

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said the repeated postponement of examinations was very “unfortunate and shameful”.

She posted on X: “The pain being faced by the youth due to repeated postponement of exams is very unfortunate and shameful. The youth of Telangana are struggling with unemployment, their future is in darkness despite hard work and diligence. We all resolve to change these circumstances.”

TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy said, "The BRS government failed to conduct even one recruitment exam properly in the last nine years. All the recruitments were stuck up in legal cases due to faulty notifications. Even for those notifications were released and exams conducted, there were large irregularities and question paper leakages which led to repeated cancellation and postponement of exams.”
