Revanth Reddy pays tributes to Ambedkar's statue in Shamirpet

Hyderabad: Stating that the Congress governments of the past had offered a number of opportunities to Dalits, TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy said that the party, if elected to power, would convert Pragati Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s camp office, into Dr Ambedkar Knowledge Centre.

Revanth Reddy paid tribute to a statue of Dr Ambedkar at Sharmirpet to mark his birth anniversary. Speaking at the event, Revanth Reddy said that when the Congress was in power, Dalits had been made Chief Minister and Speaker.

"Taking inspiration from Dr Ambedkar's ideology, the Congress will provide benefits for Dalits. In ensuing general elections, the Congress will give importance to Dalits,” the TPCC chief said. He also promised to provide Rs 15 lakh from his MP funds for the construction of Ambedkar Bhavan in Shamirpet.
