Hyderabad: Youth Congress launched its ‘First Vote’ programme as part of a nationwide campaign to encourage first-time voters to enlist for an identity card and helping them in listing their name. A poster was also released on the occasion. The meeting was attended by Telangana AICC in-charge Manikrao Thakre and AICC secretary Rohit Chowdhary.
Speaking at the meet, Youth Congress president Shivsena Reddy said the vehicles enlisted for the programme will visit colleges, tuition hubs, bus stations and malls as part of the exercise.
The Telangana Youth Congress also released a ‘Super Shakti She” poster. The programme will be held in every Assembly constituency to protect the rights of women. “We will hoist the National Flag along with the women on August 15. The programme endeavours to encourage women in politics,” he said.
