Kavitha slams Bandi Sanjay, says KCR laid special focus on women's welfare

HYDERABAD: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has laid special focus on women's welfare and introduced several innovative schemes for their welfare in the last nine years.

Kavitha cited schemes which the Chief Minister had introduced such as Kalyana Lakshmi, KCR Kits, Amma Vodi, Arogya Lakshmi, SHE Teams.

Referring to state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s criticism on Twitter that there is no respect for woman Governors in Telangana or women in Telangana, Kavitha said that he has no right to comment as the woman President of India was not invited for the inauguration of the new Parliament building by the BJP government at the Centre, and no action was taken against a BJP MP who resorted to sexual harassment against country's women wrestlers.
