I-Day: Purandeswari urges people to hoist national flag on top of their house

Vijayawada: BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari on Friday called upon the people to hoist the National Flag on top of their houses to mark Independence Day celebrations on August 15. She underlined the importance of helping the young and future generations to know the significance of the freedom movement.

Purandeswari made the call while interacting with a team of postal department officials led by Vijayawada assistant postmaster general K. Sudheer Babu, who met her at the party office here. The officials informed her about the department's initiative to promote Har Ghar Tiranga nationwide with an aim to ensure that the National Flag is hoisted on every house in the country. They offered the National Flag to Purandeswari and conveyed Independence Day greetings to her.

Purandeswari congratulated the postal department officials for their mission to promote the hoisting of the National Flag on top of every house in the country.
