HC asks revenue dept to execute sale deed for AIG Hospitals

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has directed the government and the revenue department to execute the conveyance deed (sale deed) in favour of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) Hospital in respect of land admeasuring 1,936 square yards situated in Survey No. 136/P at Gachibowli within two weeks.

Justice Surepalli Nanda issued this direction in pursuance of GO Ms No. 85 dated 17.08.2022 and the proceedings of the Rangareddy district collector allotting the land to AIG Hospital on the payment of Rs18.39 crore.

According to Rohit Pogula, counsel for AIG Hospitals, 120 acres and 1 gunta land in Survey No. 136 of Gachibowli village was recorded as government land. A part of it was was alienated to various organisations.

A portion in Survey No 136/P measuring 16 guntas remained vacant, to the land alienated to AIG Hospitals. The government allotted it to AIG Hospitals on the payment of market value.

AIG Hospitals paid the money on September 15, 2022, and the government had handed over the land but did not execute the sale deed.

Challenging the inaction, AIG Hospitals approached the High Court. Counsel Pogula also that due to this negligence, AIG Hospitals could not develop or extend their campus.
