Anand reviews security ahead of festive season in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In preparation for the Ganesh festival, idol immersion ceremony and Milad-un-Nabi, city police commissioner C.V. Anand, on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive review of security aspects and deployment readiness of the City Security Wing (CSW) and City Armed Reserve (CAR).

According to a statement, these units handle all the back-end arrangements for the city police functioning, ranging from armed force deployment, logistics and fleet management to assisting civil police in maintaining law and order and providing security to vital installations and VIPs.

The review encompassed various wings, including the CSW, home guards mounted units and dog squads. Anand emphasised the importance of remaining alert. “security of the protectee must be your utmost priority.”

He urged them to take care of their health and said efforts would be made to improve their working conditions.

Anand also visited the Mounted Police unit at Goshamahal and inspected the 46 horses and 26 dogs. He instructed the handlers and unit staff officers and veterinarians to ensure that the horses and canines were in peak condition and well taken care of.

Anand inaugurated a unit canteen within the premises of the CSW.
