BJP Condemns Comments of DMK MP

Hyderabad: N.V. Subhash, TS BJP spokesperson, condemned the remarks by DMK MP D.N.V. Senthil Kumar in Parliament, which he said were most objectionable and unwarranted. The MP had made a crass distinguisher between voters in the North and South who had voted differently in the recent Assembly elections.

Senthilkumar said in the Lok Sabha, “people of this country should think that the power of the BJP is only winning elections in the heartland states of Hindi and what we generally call gaumutra states." The word gaumutra, referring to cow urine, that the MP used was expunged from the Lok Sabha records by Speaker Om Birla.

"This is the height of arrogance and insulting the people who voted in elections," Subhash said. Subhash demanded an unconditional apology from DMK MP immediately.

“The DMK has been spewing venom against Hindus and the BJP by making highly deplorable comments,” Subhash said and added instead of commenting on BJP the DMK MP should focus on relief measures to be taken in Tamil Nadu where people are suffering due to the heavy rains.

“It has become a habit of the DMK to criticise Hindus. In September Tamil Nadu sports minister Udayanidhi Stalin had called for eradication of Sanatana Dharma just like dengue, mosquitos, malaria and the coronavirus,” Subhash added.
