Man dies after honeybee attack

Visakhapatnam: A 30-year-old man, identified as P. Sattibabu, died on Saturday after being attacked by a swarm of honeybees while attempting to collect honey in a forest area near Maddiputtu village in the ASR district of Andhra Pradesh.

Sattibabu was a resident of Maddiputtu village and had ventured into the forest, a few kilometers from his home, in search of honey on a sunny Saturday morning. He was attempting to collect honey from a wild beehive when the aggressive swarm of bees suddenly descended upon him.

Sattibabu suffered multiple bee stings and was initially treated on the spot by fellow villagers. He was then immediately shifted to the government hospital in Hukumpeta mandal. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
