Hyderabad: A general manager working with the AP Industrial Development Corporation committed suicide in his house at Jubilee Hills on Saturday morning.
Police said the body of S. Venkata Kanaka Shetty, 58, was found hanging inside the bathroom by his family members. Police said that he had been suffering from chronic depression for several months. He has been undergoing treatment for the same taking leave from the job.
Shetty, who is one of the senior most employee in APIDC, had been living with his family at a house in Road number- 45, Jubilee Hills.
“On Saturday morning, his wife and father had gone to in Begu-mpet. When they returned, they found his body hanging from the ceiling,” said Jubilee Hills SI Guruswami.
Police said Shetty has not left any suicide note. His wife and father told police about the treatment and his depression in the recent times. “His children are well settled and he does not have any family issues. We are investigating,” a police official said.
