KTR inaugurates KG to PG institute in Sircilla village

Warangal: The KG to PG educational institution was established as part of the promise made by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao ahead of the 2014 Assembly elections, said IT minister K.T. Rama Rao.

Accompanied by education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, he inaugurated the KG to PG institution that has come up on six acres of land with an investment of Rs 3 crore as part of ‘Mana Ooru- Mana Badi’ programme in Gambiraopet of Rajanna Sircilla district on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao said that education and knowledge were important for the growth of every child and these cannot be stolen. The state government is determined to provide quality education.

With the determination to boost standards of education in the state, the Chief Minister has introduced the Mana Ooru-Mana Badi programme, he said.

It is sad that Prof Jayashankar is not among us. It is to perpetuate his legacy and honour his contribution during the Telangana movement that the KG to PG campus is named after him, Rao said.

Like that of educational institutions which are present in Tirupati and Shirdi, the KG to PG campus was established. Around 1,000 members of students can have meals at a time in the largest dining hall established in the campus, added Rao, who represents Sircilla in the Legislative Assembly..

He lashed out at opposition leaders for making baseless allegations against the state government and BRS leaders.

Sabitha Reddy claimed that there was no government educational institution in the country like the KG to PG campus in Gambhiraopet mandal.

All 26,000) government schools will be developed in 12 components under Mana Ooru-Mana Badi programme against an investment of ₹7,300 crore in three phases. In the first phase, 9,000 schools will be developed with an investment of ₹3,509 crore, she informed.

Later, they felicitated representatives of Raheja Laboratories, Give Telangana and MRF Company for their support in establishing the institution in Gambhiraopet mandal.
