HYDERABAD: A truck rammed into a parked container truck and triggered a fire, killing the driver and the cleaner who were sleeping in the cabin at Kaslapur in Ramayampet on Friday night.
Ramayampet inspector Laxmi Raju identified the victims as Nagaraju and Basvaiah. They had parked their container truck beside National Highway 44 after one of its tyres had got punctured. After replacing it, they had dinner and were sleeping in the cabin when the accident occurred.
Their cabin caught fire and both were charred to death. Police arrested the erring container truck driver and seized the vehicle. The bodies of the victims were shifted to the local government hospital morgue for post mortem.
