Hyderabad: Angry Ola cab drivers, who sought their commissions and sufficient bookings from the management, on Thursday attacked the Ola office at Kukatpally and damaged furniture and glass partitions.
KPHB police said some Ola drivers who were not getting sufficient bookings from the management reached Ola office and tried to meet the management. Bouncers did not allow them in and attacked them. The drivers informed other drivers and in a short while, more than 200 drivers gathered and began arguing with the bouncers and Ola management.
Meanwhile, some drivers began pelting stones and damaged furniture in the office. The drivers alleged that the Ola management deputed more driver-cum-owners than required to show that they were the largest cab operator. “Initially, they depended on owner-cum-drivers and as the company began procuring own vehicles, it started reducing the number of bookings day-by-day.” they said.
