French delegation visits Amaravati

Senior officers from Government of Andhra Pradesh and the APCRDA are going to have discussions with the French delegation.

Vijayawada: A high-level French delegation consisting of 57 members under the leadership of Mr Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France in India, is visiting Amaravati on Wednesday. The team of 12 high-level officers belonging to France Embassy in Delhi and France Consulate in Bengaluru are joining the French delegation during the visit.

Senior officers from Government of Andhra Pradesh and the APCRDA are going to have discussions with the French delegation on the identified sectors of investments and partnership, transportation, energy, IT and communication, water, waste and environment, planning, design and tourism here on Wednesday. During the general meeting,AP Economic Development Board (APEDB) CEO J. Krishna Kishore will deliver a presentation on opportunities in Andhra Pradesh. CRDA commissioner Dr Cherukuri will deliver a presentation on the Amaravati Project and Capital City Master Planning.

The CRDA commissioner will explain the projects in which French institutions and companies can efficiently contribute to the new capital. Later, principal secretary (MA&UD) Karikal Valaven will deliver a presentation on smart cities. Mr Jean-Marc Fenet, Minister Counsellor and Head of the Regional Economic Department for South Asia, Embassy of France, will deliver a presentation on the French Expertise on Smart Cities.

Parallel technical sessions in the form of round-table discussions on seven themes will be carried out. The French delegation will have an interactive session with Chief Minis-ter Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the afternoon at his camp office.
