HYDERABAD: The state government will shortly bring in a policy to promote treated water for construction and landscaping and also to ensure that the secondary needs are met. The city, will in a few months, be in a position to treat 100 per cent of sewage water, said MA&UD minister K.T. Rama Rao.
Inaugurating Credai office at Nanakramguda on Thursday, he said that the new chairman of Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) Dr. N. Satyanarayana will hold discussions with real estate representatives on issues concerning them. Rao said the government has drawn up plans to expand IT, aerospace, and life sciences segments.
Stating the metro rail’s link to the airport corridor will open up real estate opportunities in the southwest corridor, Rao said that the government has asked for 150-acre cantonment lands from defence authorities to take up two skyways of 18.5 km.
On loans taken by the state, he said that this was for bettering the power supply, increase of beds in NIMS, ensuring potable drinking water and creating irrigation facilities through the Kaleshwaram Project.
He expressed hope that BRS will win 95 to 100 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Credai state top brass Ch. Ramchandra Reddy, D. Murali Krishna Reddy and E. Premsagar Reddy also spoke on the occasion.
