Hyderabad: Officer on Special Duty in Telangana Chief Minister’s Office Deshapathi Srinivas was gheraoed in Australia by the members of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee’s NRI cell. While Mr Srinivas visited Sydney in Australia in connection with the upcoming ‘World Telugu Congress’, TPCC NRI Cell’s Australia convener M. Rajasekhara Reddy, leaders M. Devi Prasad Reddy, P. Sairam, Khaja Imran Mohammad, G. Ram, K. Praveen, P. Pavan Kumar and others gheraoed him and demanded to remove B. Mahesh, the NRI’s coordinator for World Telugu Congress. “Mr Mahesh who stays in the US is not having command in Telugu Literature. How can he be a coordinator for a great event? The government has downgraded level of the event,” they said. Responding to their demand, Mr Srinivas promised them that he would take the matter to the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
