Guntur: Work on Amaravati Seed Access Road has started at Venkatapalem of Amaravati Capital Region for the construction of a 23-km highway from Undavalli to Dondapadu. Besides this, seven other highways will connect Amaravati from all directions.

Further, two railway lines have been proposed to give rail connectivity to Amaravati and an international airport near Mangalagiri for the new capital’s air connectivity.

The APCRDA has estimated Rs 41,235 crore as requirement to develop basic amenities under which roads would be developed to international standards. APCRDA commissioner Ch. Sreedhar said two teams would be sent to Mumbai and Gujarat to study urban development and APRCDA will provide best infrastructure on the basis of Maharashtra and Gujarat urban development process. “Amaravati Seed Access Road works have started and world-class social infrastructure would be provided in Amaravati Capital Region by inviting the best developers of the world”.
