Two policemen from the Ranga Reddy district have been suspended after being accused of mishandling a case by a complainant.
Chevella Circle Inspector M. Upender and Chengomul Sub Inspector Mr. Shekhar were placed under suspension by Hyderabad range IG Y. Nagi Reddy until an inquiry was completed against them.
But meanwhile, it has to be noted that the district’s SP B. Naveen Kumar, who is facing a departmental inquiry for using home guards to carry out household chores, still continues in his post.
According to senior police officials, the Chengomul SI and the Circle Inspector had refused to register a case despite the complainant approaching them repeatedly for the procedure, over the course of several months.
