The same kinds of projections are likely in Mahanadu, according to sources.

Vijayawada: The Telugu Desam is facing a tricky situation following the emergence of two prominent sections - one from Guntur and Krishna districts and the other from north coastal districts. While the capital region section is busy highlighting the plus points of the party national general secretary Nara Lokesh, the north coastal section is following the conventional way of projecting the CM N. Chandrababu Naidu as the commander-in-chief for 2019 battle also.

The same kinds of projections are likely in Mahanadu, according to sources. Minister Lokesh has succeeded in building his own team of young generation politicians from the Capital region, which falls under Guntur and Krishna districts. They may come up with a slogan in Mahanadu, that he should be made commander-in-chief for the 2019 battle in the state, as he grew very fast in the party, simply not because he is the son of the Chief Minister, but of his calibre.

Lokesh, who has faced criticism in his earlier days as minister, could able to rectify his drawbacks and made him available to the leaders and public, within short span. However, the coterie of Lokesh have been still trying to create some hardships to the visitors, as per few leaders and overall situation is turning positive to the young Minister Lokesh in the Cabinet.

The IT and PR&RD Minister has started interacting with the leaders from every district in the capacity of party national general secretary for the last two months in a systematic approach and eliciting the details of the issues to be addressed within the party and also issues of public concern. He has asked his team to develop a data bank. “The minister is striving hard to accommodate himself, as per the demands of the day,” a party leader from Guntur district said and added that, however he has to gel with leaders from north coastal districts, who are old-fashioned and close to Chief Minister.
