Yazdani failed ISIS attempt

Death of Shayb had inspired Yazdani more and encouraged him to go to Syria.

Hyderabad: One of the chief organisers of the ISIS Hyderabad module, Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani, got radicalised by his co-worker, a Jordanian who later fought and died for the ISIS in Syria. Yazdani formed the group in Hyderabad as his attempts for a ‘hijra’ to Syria failed multiple times.

Yazdani, who was working with Bazee Trading Company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, had got acquainted with Jordanian national Suhayb Al Abudi, who showed him several videos and other propaganda materials of ISIS on the internet to convince him that the ISIS was fighting for a just cause.
“Even when Yazdani came for a break in India in 2014, he kept in touch with Suhayb Al Abudi on Facebook. Suhayb Al Abudi however went offline for some time. Later, Suhayb’s brother Sulaiman, in a chat with Yazdani (A-2), revealed that his brother had attained martyrdom in the lSlS-controlled area in September,” said the NIA chargsheet.

Death of Shayb had inspired Yazdani more and encouraged him to go to Syria. “In January-February 2015, Yazdani used his Twitter account to look for a contact who could help him go to Syria for Hijrah. He searched for hashtags the #lSlS, #Khalifa, #Dawlah, as suggested in the ISIS Dabiq magazine. He came across one Twitter identity in the name of “Abu lssa Al Amriki” who later guided him throughout the process,” said the charge-sheet.

Yazdani returned to India and tried to migrate to Syria but failed. He was told by his ISIS handlers to stay back and fight in India.
