Sandalwood actor Darshan knocks on Karnataka HC door

Actor Darshan on Monday approached the high court challenging the notice issued to him.

BENGALURU: After former minister Shamanur Shivashankarappa-owned S.S. Hospital and 45 residents of Ideal Homes Layout in Rajarajeshwarinagar got a respite from the High Court, which ordered the authorities not to dispossess or demolish their properties till the completion of the ongoing process, actor Darshan on Monday approached the high court challenging the notice issued to him.

The notice, following a report submitted by the tahsildar, states that his house is constructed on the kharab land belonging to the government. The house has been built on site measuring 2,400 sq ft by encroaching 2 guntas of kharab land. The petition is expected to come up for hearing on Tuesday.

HC relief to ex KPSC member
The high court on Monday stayed proceedings against former KPSC member Mangala Shridhar in connection with the alleged irregularities and corruption while selecting candidates to 362 gazetted probationer posts for the 2011 batch.
