Teachers will also receive the tablets so that they can keep a watch over how the students are using them, said a BIE official.

Hyderabad: The Union human resources development minstry has decided to provide 5,000 free tablets to Class VIII students in Kendriya Vidyalayas as part of a pilot project. The students can use the tablets through their high schools.

The TS Board of intermediate Education is awaiting the circular about which KV has been chosen for the project; one school in each state will be part of the project. They will be used to keep track of the students’ study schedule even at home.

“According to the report we have received, the tablets will be used for mathematics mostly.
