Congress leader K Sudhakaran's strike enters 6th day

Mr Sudhakaran also alleged that there is widespread mobile phone tapping by some officials in the home department on behalf of the CPM leadership.

KANNUR: The indefinite hunger strike of Congress leader K. Sudhakaran entered the 6th day on Saturday. Though his health condition is worsening, Mr Sudhakaran is firm on his stand that he will end the agitation only after the state government expresses willingness to refer Shuhaib murder case to the CBI. Mr Sudhakaran also alleged that there is widespread mobile phone tapping by some officials in the home department on behalf of the CPM leadership.

"The mobile phone conversations of investigation officials, Congress leaders and media personnel are under scanner", he added. "It is quite unbecoming of the home department to tap the phone calls", he said. The move is part of a conspiracy to thwart the concerted effort for a CBI probe into the murder, he added.
