Chennai: Will react after details shape up, says Apollo chairman

However, he denied responding when questioned about Arumugasamy Commission rejecting their plea to form a medical board in Jayalalithaa death probe.

Chennai: The founder and chairman of the Apollo Hospitals Dr Prathap C Reddy on Thursday reiterated the hospital gave the best possible treatment to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister late J. Jayalalithaa.

He denied to react on the issue and said that he can respond only after the commission headed by Justice A. Arumugasamy submits the report on the probe into the death of former AIADMK supremo.

“I have repeated it many times that late Chief Minister was an adorable person and we, the hospital and the doctors provided her the best possible treatment. I will react on the issue as the details shape up,” said Dr Prathap Reddy, while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an event in the city on Thursday. However, he denied responding when questioned about Arumugasamy Commission rejecting their plea to form a medical board in Jayalalithaa death probe.

Apollo chairman earlier said that Apollo Hospitals has shared all the documents with the inquiry commission regarding former chief minister Jayalalithaa and said that he does not need to comment on the functioning of the court and the commission.

The Apollo Hospital demanded constitution of a medical board comprising doctors and medical professionals in December last year to examine the medical records of Jayalalithaa. The commission has examined as many as 100 witnesses to probe the mystery surrounding her death so far.
