Alanganallur bulls will run on February 1

The committee members decided to allot the gallery normally used by foreign tourists, for the students to view the sport.

Madurai: After deciding to conduct jallikattu on February 1, the members of the village festival committee at Alanganallur thanked the students for supporting them to save Tamil culture.

V Sundararagavan, secretary of festival committee said that that students and youngsters from various parts of the state have protested along with the villagers to save jallikattu. "We wholeheartedly thank them for standing with us," he said.

The committee members decided to allot the gallery normally used by foreign tourists, for the students to view the sport. “We invite students to participate in our celebration,” said Sundararagavan.
