Hyderabad: This is just what the city needed. An app for potholes has been developed by a private agency for GHMC. The app, 'Pothole Marker' which is available on Google Playstore, displays the city's map. The user must click the location of the pothole and mark it red to report it to the GHMC. Once the corporation gets to know the location, repairs are done and the location is marked blue.
The app lets the user judge the quality of the repair work. If the work is shoddy and incomplete, the user can mark it red again and an updated report is automatically sent to GHMC. The app developer said the app had two options, one for the citizens and the other for the administration. The application has a centralised server, the complaints will be directly sent to the GHMC instant repair teams. The consultant said that the GHMC was expected to take a final call on the application on Friday and would make an official announcement thereafter.
