TIRUPATI: The use of social media was easing the job of police and now people is taking more responsibility, complaining about the traffic violators by sending the photos to police WhatsApp numbers.
In Tirupati, 5,517 WhatsApp complaints were received and the public responded mostly for traffic violations.
The Tirupati Urban District police divided complaints into four categories — law and order, traffic, crime and others. As many as 2,178 members complained about traffic violations.
