Revive congress' airs concern over KPCC list

They also demanded adequate representation for Dalits, women, youth and newcomers.

Thiruvananthapuram: Revive Congress on Saturday took to the Facebook demanding the Political Affairs Committee discuss the delayed governing council list of the KPCC, now before the AICC.

They also demanded adequate representation for Dalits, women, youth and newcomers.

The post states that AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi had always considered Kerala as a model Congress state which has since brought disgrace to him. It said when all the states had submitted their list, Kerala lagged behind.

“The older generation should welcome the younger crop of leaders with a red carpet welcome. Unfortunately, the KPCC list does not have adequate representation,” it says.

It further states that party positions should not be seen as ornamental and before the society intervenes and throws them out, the younger lot should be given adequate representation. It concludes asking what imminent message they can provide to those dejected leaders who have not found a space on the list.
