Hyderabad: GHMC commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy on Thursday said that underpass works at Chintalkunta near L.B.Nagar would be completed by March 2018.
He said that construction works will be started next week with the assistance of pre-fabricated boxes. The work would be completed soon.
“We have taken up these works under the second package of Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP). The SRDP works are having 18 projects with an estimated cost of '2,631 crore and the government has issued approvals for all these projects last month.
He said that the GHMC was developing the underpass along with a check-post with an estimated cost of '12.7 crore. “This underpass assists in reducing burden on 95 per cent of traffic. We completed 60 per cent of works, including the approach road,” he said.
