HC takes up news report on stray dogs mauling boy as PIL

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Wednesday took news report over the stray dogs mauling a four-year-old boy to death as a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition.

Chief Justice of the High Court Justice Ujjal Bhuyan directed the Registry of the court to take media reports as suo motu PIL while directing it to make the authorities concerned as respondents and place the case before the division bench for hearing.

The HC Registry named as respondents in the PIL the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration, GHMC Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner GHMC, Amberpet Circle, Hyderabad district, and Member Secretary Telangana State Legal Service Authority. The Bench will hear the PIL on Thursday.
