K T Rama Rao happy for sapling he planted growing well

Minister launches cycling park which surpassed all others.

HYDERABAD: Minister K.T. Rama Rao recently tweeted about the success of the saplings he planted on July 12 at Palla Pitta cycling park during the third Haritha Haram drive. He commented that most of the plants seemed had survived and been thriving.

At the inauguration of the cycling park, which has been developed by the Telangana State Forest Development Corporation (TSFDC), he said that Palla Pitta would be a haven in the midst of a concrete jungle, like Central Park in New York. He said that there was a need for lung space in the city of Hyderabad.

“I have been around the country, and the world, but the quality of this park surpasses all that I have seen. The forest department has done a commendable job,” he said. He then congratulated the cyclists who had pushed for the development of the park. The park has two inter-connected cycling tracks that are 2.9 km long. It also has an exclusive cycling zone that covers an area of 46 acres.

The monthly fee is Rs 800, and the hourly fee is Rs 50, inclusive of the cost of renting a bicycle. Those who come with their own cycles will only be charged Rs 25 per hour. According to officials from the TSFDC, children will only have to pay half the ticket price. The cycling park is one of the success stories from this year’s Haritha Haram programme.

Congress tried to destroy gardens: KTR

KTR tweet on Monday morning took a dig at the Congress government as he posted a satellite view picture of the Botanical garden at Kondapur using google maps. He tweeted that the Congress government had wanted to ‘privatise and destroy precious urban landscape.’ He also shared a picture from 2016 with considerably more greenery to show a comparison of the park, with the ruling of the current government. Many of his followers responded by thanking the government for saving one of the few remaining green spaces in the city.
