Hyderabad: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has inspected the ongoing works of Nala widening in Dabeerpura and asked officials of the GHMC not to disturb the vehicular traffic and devotees during Moharram as the nala was adjacent to the approach road of Bibi ka Alawa. He urged officials and contractors to expedite the works and complete them at the earliest.
The widening work of nala was taken up by the GHMC from Dabeerpura Darwaza to Ganganagar nala for an estimated cost of 1.98 crore, which includes extension of the nala, desilting, construction of the retaining wall and the slab.
Charminar Zonal commissioner Srinivas Reddy apprised him of details of the ongoing works. Yakutpura MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, MLC, Mirza Riyaz ul Hasan Effandi, party corporators, officials of the GHMC and the HMWS&SB were also present.
