Chennai: Chennai has emerged as one of the fastest growing travel destinations within India for leisure as well as business travel, registering a growth of over 20 per cent in the number of bookings from the region.
“There has been exponential growth in the domestic hotels segment over the last few years and we are happy to be at the center of this hyper-growth phase along with our valuable hotel partners,” according to Mr. Parikshit Choudhury, Chief Business Officer - India hotels. Announcing 3rd edition of the consumer and traveler’s choice awards here, he said the initiative intends to engage and recognise the efforts of the hotel partners who have consistently provided superior stay experience to customers in Chennai.
He was speaking at the distribution of annual hotel recognition programme - Star Partners Award instituted by MakeMyTrip Ltd. High performing hotels on MakeMyTrip and Goibibo travel platforms were honoured on the occasion.
The following hotels in Chennai have been awarded MakeMyTrip – customer choice awards: Clarion Chennai, Ibis Chennai, Taj Club House, Radisson Blue Hotel Chennai, Trident Chennai, Intercontinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort and Saravana’s golden fruits business suites while Goibibo’s Travellers choice awards were given to Zone By The Park, Holiday Inn Express, Design Hotel Chennai, Aloft Chennai, ITC Grand Chola, Radisson Blue Resort Temple Bay and Floressa Randa.
