Fare structure yet to be finalised for the launch of Hyderabad Metro Rail operations

CMRS clearance is awaited for the 10-km stretch from Mettuguda to Ameerpet (nine km) and Ameerpet to SR Nagar (one km).

Hyderabad: As the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) is yet to issue safety clearance for the launch of Metro Rail operations on November 28, the state government is working on alternative plans.

With the November 28 deadline just nine days away, the state government is unable to order invitation cards for the inauguration because of the uncertainty, and send them to the Governor, Union ministers and others.

CMRS clearance is awaited for the 10-km stretch from Mettuguda to Ameerpet (nine km) and Ameerpet to SR Nagar (one km).

Also awaiting finalisation is the fare structure. The state government and project developer L&T are yet to agree on ticket fares, which may delay commercial operations further.
